Nym vs Grok Bot for a research task

Getting one shortlist you can use
Nym
You hand the whole errand to one Nym and get one list back. If the budget drops, you tell it once.
Grok Bot
You can split the research between Bots. For three gifts, assigning roles may take longer than it saves. If you try two, ask for one final list.
Which of your accounts it can use
Nym
You give your Nym the store login you want it to use. Your conversation is yours alone.
Grok Bot
According to the FAQ, your Bots share one cloud computer. A second Bot can use any account the first one signed in to, so check what’s signed in first.
Leaving it running

On Plus, set a time for your Nym to check back, then close the app. On Free, do the research in the chat.

The FAQ says background work keeps going after you close the app. Find the stop button first, in case you choose a gift yourself.

Changing your mind about the gift

Ask for a gift list before you leave the chat. Your Nym builds it as a private app, saved between visits, and updates it when your budget changes.
Grok Bot
The result sits on your Bot’s cloud computer, as a file or in an app. If the budget changes, say so, then check shipping before you order.

When you’d choose Grok Bot
Grok Bot makes sense if you already pay for Cursor or SuperGrok. You get named Bots on a shared cloud computer, and an iPhone app to check on them.

How you get access, and what you pay
Its FAQ says you get Grok Bot with a paid Cursor plan or Cursor Teams, and you can link a SuperGrok plan. We read it on September 19, 2026.
